BEC Preparation Courses
The Business English Certificate (BEC) is an international Cambridge ESOL exam that tests students’ knowledge of Business English and is suitable for those seeking employement in a business environment. Students can find more details about the BEC content here .
There are 3 types of exam that correspond to the following levels:
- BEC Preliminary – for candidates at Intermediate Business English level
- BEC Vantage – for candidates at Upper-Intermediate Business English level
- BEC Higher – for candidates at Advanced Business English level
Goals:
- To familiarise students with the exam format and various types of exercises
- To introduce exam terminology
- To practice all types of exercises
During these courses students will expand their business vocabulary, learn grammar stuctures necessary for the successful completion of exam tasks, prepare for an interview and develop skills necessary to write formal letters, reports, suggestions, offers, etc.
Duration:
This varies from 30 to 198 academic hours depending on the initial level of students' language skills.
Instructors:
Preparation courses are taught by staff (all holders of Cambridge ESOL certificates) with many years of teaching experience.
Study materials:
Our preparatory courses only use study materials published in the U.K. which are designed specifically for BEC preparation.
